8 Months!

Oh my precious baby girl,  how in the world are you 8 months old? It seems you have grown by leaps and bounds. Just look at all you are doing. Goodness gracious, what will this next month bring!?!

At 8 months you are:
  •  Still nursing
  •  Wearing size 2-3 diapers
  •  Sleeping from about 8:30pm to 7:30am. Woot Woot!
  • Napping 3X a day. You usually take two 1.5 hour naps and one  45 minute nap.
  • Crawling (on all fours with tummy off the ground).
  • Standing independently for a 5- 10 seconds at a time.
  • Pulling up (and lowering yourself cautiously instead of plopping to the ground).
  • Walking around the coffee table, couch, window sill etc.
  • Imitating (you like to click your tongue, blow raspberries, wave bye, pat etc. when we are doing it).
  • Waving "bye-bye"
  • Have tried sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, green beans, peas, peaches, pears, apples, strawberries, bananas, mango, prunes, pineapple, oranges, yogurt, and oatmeal.
  • Starting finger foods (Puffs and yogurt melts are the best! They entertain you for a VERY long time).
  • Saying "mama" and "bye-bye".
  • Way more interested in objects around the house like wires, shelves, outlets, cat food etc. than your toys
  • Miss Personality, and have about ten million different facial expressions
  • Super happy unless, you are tired or hungry (and look out if she is...she will let you know).
  • Still belly laughing all the time, but have added a new sort of amused giggle. Cracks. Me . Up.
  •  Working on your pincer grasp, and doing pretty good at getting food into your mouth.
  • A little Ham out in public. This makes shopping great for Mommy since you love to interact with other people
  • Still fighting sleep, but not near as bad.
  • The sweetest gift we could have ever gotten.
Here is a video of P enjoying her sweet potato puffs. Just in case your wondering,  yes, that is a bathtub behind Presley. She can't stand to be still, so it makes getting ready extremely difficult for me. I've found that a highchair + Puffs =  a much better makeup job.

and here is  P waving "bye bye".  Also, pardon the horrible lighting. It was taken with my phone.

Outakes. Getting a decent picture is becoming a MAJOR challenege.

We love you so much Sweet P, and continue to thank God every day for Blessing us with you.

Expected Debut Date: April 8, 2011

With great pleasure, I would like to officially announce the newest member of our family, Baby Fordham. After an incredibly long struggle with infertility, my sister in law is finally pregnant! This baby is such a blessing and couldn't have come at a more perfect time.

Congratulations, Brittani and Heath! We are beyond ecstatic to meet this sweet little one.

    * Please note that I'm trying to be gender neutral here, but I'm pretty sure this babe is a little girl.

(and don't lie peeps, you know you thought I was the one knocked up. Ha!)

    Dinner Conversation

Or maybe not so much? Every time Brandon and I started talking, Miss P felt she needed to chime in as well. Loudly. This went on pretty much the entire time we were eating. Guess she just wanted to be part of the conversation. Can you blame a girl?

    Panama City 2010

Let me begin by saying "vacation" takes on a slightly different meaning when you have an almost 8 month old tagging along. It took almost a week to pack all the things that P might possibly need, and I had a knot in my stomach about the flight. I tend to imagine the worst... Anywhoo, Miss P was awesome on the plane and wonderful the entire trip (with the exception of a couple rough nights). Of course, I had about 12 extra hands to help me while we were there. Too bad I don't have those 12 extra hands helping me on a daily basis. Now for an onslaught of pictures!

The last time Brandon and I were in Panama City was 6 years ago when we got engaged, and we took pictures in this same spot. Pretty cool to be returning married and plus 1.

This is the whole gang. My brother and sister in law, Heath and Brittani; Father and Mother in law aka Poppa and Grammie; my step-niece and her fiance, Emily and Adam, and sister in law and the BF, Brooke and Shai.

My bikini babe hanging out on the beach.

We went to the dog track, and Brandon and I won NOTHING. However, it was "dollar beer dollar hot dog" night, so I guess that made up for it. Oh yeah, remember the aforementioned proposal? Brandon proposed 6 years ago on the beach after "dollar beer dollar hot dog" night. Gotta love him!

Miss P with Grammie and Poppa.

Squeezing into the big chair at our hotel. The next time we go, I think they might need to make a bigger chair.

    Toes in the sand.

My Mom bought  matching cover ups in Cabo when I was 14 weeks pregnant with P. Good thing the doctor doing the NT scan was right about the sex, otherwise this pic would have looked pretty funny!

    Putt-Putt Golf. I suck.Period, End of Story.

    CRASHED!

Florida was wonderful, and we always have such a great time when were all together. I'm already looking forward to the next time we go. Panama City Beach 2011, anyone???

    Jackson Turns 2

We packed up from Panama City, Florida and took a 2 hour flight to see my nephew on his 2nd birthday.

We drove to Galveston and rented 2 hotel rooms, so the whole family could celebrate by the beach.

We hopped on the Rainforest Adventure Ride at Rainforest Cafe where 2 kiddos got to ride for free.

Then we sat down for dinner where Niles the Crocodile visited our table 2 times.

After dinner we ordered desert, and it took 2 people to blow out this candle.

    Happy 2 years,  Jackson Wade!

    How Many hours left?

In less than 48 hours, my booty is going to be sitting here.

And I plan on having this in my hand.

Of course, this will probably be on my hip.

    Or crawling straight for this.

Which means my booty probably won't be here for long.

    Random Tuesday Rant

So, does anyone remember that little crawling video I put up last week? Lets just say that's small potatoes compared to what Miss Priss is doing now. Literally, the entire dynamic of my day just got turned upside down. She is EVERYWHERE. Presley has been given a taste of freedom and there is no going back. Hello, Baby proofing.

On a completely different note, I picked up a bag of mixed frozen fruit at the grocery store the other day to put in P's mesh feeder. Oh my...did that girl get down on some frozen peaches. Literally, she looked like she had just seen Jesus. Loved it! with all of this incredibly hot weather, It's a yummy way to cool her down. Someone else decided the frozen fruit would be a yummy treat. Not me. No, I mean I would never decide that soaking a few pieces of fruit in Peach schnapps, and then putting them in a glass of champagne would be a good idea. I would also NEVER know that it was like a party in my mouth, and then help myself to one two more glasses. Alright fine...I did it and it was delicious. Sadly, since I'm still nursing I don't get to drink very often and when I do, it's usually just one. Thus leaving me with an incredibly low tolerance. Needless to say,  I got a tad tipsy...like Brandon had to carry me to bed kind of tipsy. Ughh...

Last but not least, I got to take some pics for my sweet family friends. It was hotter than you no what, but we all survived. However, we decided we are going to wait until it's a little cooler for the next time. Here are some of the shots:

    Is it fall yet?

The other day a good family friend asked me to take their family pictures. I'm totally stoked about this, by the way. I immediately looked up the weather to make sure the day we picked was a-okay. I saw that it was going to be 99 degrees outside AND do you know what I said??? I believe my exact words were, "the weather should be good, not too hot". Say what!?! All these days of 100+ degrees have seriously gotten to me. Ughh, is it fall yet?

    Big Things...

    Oh. MY. GOODNESS.

Look at what this girl learned to do.

Yeppers, It's official. Presley is mobile. My child can crawl. This excites and terrifies me all at the same time. And if that wasn't enough, look what else she can do...

She said Momma!!!!!!!!!! Awww... it makes me sooo excited...and emotional. I literally almost peed myself (inappropriate, I know).

We are so proud of you, Sweet P!
