She's 4!

And just like that my biggest little is 4…

We celebrated with a breakfast of chocolate donuts and the finest orange juice money could buy.

Cheers to a wonderful 4th year, sweet girl!

and don't ever let anyone dull your sparkle...

Merry Christmas 2013

It seems I've disappeared from the blogging world. Yup. I don't feel guilty though. Something had to give with all that was going on, and this was it (sorry, blog). While I won't be able to keep up like I used to, I plan on popping in every now and again. With that said…

Merry Christmas from the Souders!

I did manage to get most of my cards out in time, but not all. I'm still working on it..

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas!

A very HOT 4th of July

This 4th was interesting to say the least.

On the 3rd, some our friends invited us to a private party at D-BAT in Addison. It was so much fun and we got to see the big Kaboom town fireworks.

After the party ended our luck started to take a turn for the worse. We got caught in some major firework traffic, and it took us over 2 hours to get home. The next morning (the actual 4th of July) I got up and went to workout. I came inside, and just couldn't cool down. After checking the thermostat, I realized our A/C was out. Thank goodness for family nearby. We crashed the in law's for what we thought would just be a day.
(No, I'm not naked. Harper is though.)

Turns out the part we needed would take a week to come in...

So, we packed up and made a trip to Houston,  leaving poor Brandon behind on his birthday.

I would like to tell you that the A/C was fixed right away...and that due to a major problem we didn't get a $1,012 electricity bill...but that's not case. In fact, we just had someone back out working on our A/C unit last week. I hope that we have finally gotten to the bottom of it, but I guess only time will tell.

Needless to say, it was a very HOT 4th of JULY!

Where to Start

So yeah....It's been over a month since I have blogged. It makes me sad because (like I've said before) this is pretty much a baby book for my kids. Last time I got on here, I was just starting to get caught up. Unfortunately, the very next day my phone wouldn't load pictures onto my computer. Blah....

The good news is I FINALLY got it fixed. Now, I have no idea where to start??? Should I pick up where I left off or just start from now???

I think I will just start going through the 756 pictures I just loaded and go from there. Look out, folks! I've got some catching up to do.

HSB 2013

Our annual Horseshoe Bay trip has come and gone. In fact, it was almost a month ago. Once again, still making an attempt at a blog catch-up.

The weekend we arrived was my leetle sisters birthday! We celebrated with lots of drinks, 3 pies from the famous Bluebonnet Cafe, and steak prepared by Dad our master chef.

We had lots of boat time. Presley loves the boat and being on and in the water. Harper enjoys the boat, but loathes the life jacket. You would think we were killing her the way she was screaming. She also isn't a huge fan of the pool. We are working on that though.

We were pretty much in the pool any chance we could get. Luck for us,  the weather was perfect the entire time.

We made a return visit to the ExoticResort Zoo in Johnson City, Texas. I wanted to steal all the itty bitty baby goats.

Family Putt Putt was also on the agenda. I'm not sure Presley participated much in the actual game, but she did do lots of cart wheels and flips across the putting green.

We mainly fixed dinner at the house because taking all the kids to dinner isn't always the most fun. There is a restaurant called On The Rocks in HSB and it has an amazing view. We just barley made it in time for sunset. Ryan and Sarah got the best of it in their picture.

And some very lat minute pictures of the cousins...like 5 minutes before we headed out from Horseshoe Bay.

Until next year, HSB!
