Sometimes God calms the storm. At other times, he calms the sailor. And sometimes he makes us swim. ~Author Unknown
Presley had her first experience with swim lessons last week. I think it was quite an experience for both her and her teacher. Presley is extremely chatty, so Ms. Alyssa had her work cut out for her. Trying to get Presley to be quiet enough to put her face in the water was a challenge.
Presley did so great though! The first day she woke up at 7am (which is way early for her) asking if it was time for her lessons. She did, however, get pretty upset during her first lesson when she realized I wasn't going to be in the pool with her. Ms. Alyssa was so sweet and patient, and eventually Presley got over it.
Ms. Alyssa said Presley was one of the most relaxed kids she has taught when it came to floating on her back. Apparently, kids don't like it when water covers their ears. I was just happy to hear Presley was relaxed about something. That word and Presley aren't often in the same sentence together.
Floating on her back (Presley requested the goggles. They were NOT a requirement).
Blowing bubbles or as Presley calls it, "talking like a dolphin".
Kicks, arms, and putting it all together.
