I'm Still Here

Holy cow! Has it really been almost a month since I've blogged!?! This month has been so busy. There are so many things that I need to blog about, and I'm not sure where to start. I also just realized that I never wrote about Harper's birthday party, yikes! Perhaps I'll start there...but not today.

Presley is coming back from San Antonio, and I'm fixing to go pick my sweet girl up. I've missed her so much!!! Hopefully, I can get caught back up. Wish me luck!

Wordless Wednesday: Father's Day Photo Shoot

I took these in the garage for Brandon. It was very hot, and Harper wasn't that into it. Presley, however, was feeling the camera for a change. I got some super sassy poses!

"Sorry ladies our Daddy is taken."

Harper:12 Months

Height: 30in (75th%)
weight: 20lbs. 14oz. (between the 50th and 75%)

Little Miss finally turned one! Yes, I survived it. She still seems like a baby to me, so I guess I'm okay with it. I am very thankful I don't have to take anymore pictures of Harper on her back. That was really starting to become a challenge!

Here is what my ONE year old has been up to:
  • She is finished with bottles. She loves people food so much that she wasn't really attached to her bottle anymore anyway, so we just went cold turkey. She hasn't asked for one since. In fact, I'm not sure she's even noticed.
  • She is drinking cows milk, and loves it! We did have one day where she was really constipated, but I think her body has adjusted. Presley was constipated her whole first year.
  • Harper is running and jumping. We are so over only walking;). If you tell her to jump, she will do it. She doesn't get much air though, ha!
  • She loves to turn in circles for us, especially if she puts on a necklace or hat. Such a little girly girl.
  • Homegirl is climbing everything!
  • She is in size 12 months /12-18/18 months.
  • We are still in size 3 diapers, but could probably move up to a size 4.
  • Her tiny foot is still in a size 3, but I think we are finally moving on up.
  • A few of her favorite things are pushing anything around the house that will move, pulling things out, and putting back in, straws, riding in her new wagon and old red car, fake coughing, being outside, and giving high fives.
  • She is still not saying a whole lot, and the loud whining/screaming is still in full force.
  • Eats with a fork or spoon because she does not like having dirty hands.
  • Blows on her food before eating it. She thinks this is funny! Speaking of food, this girl is still an amazing eater. She will try and likes just about everything.
  • As usual, she is still my super smiley sweet baby girl.
  • She still thinks Presley hung the moon, but has been getting a few licks in when P makes her mad. She is really bad about pulling her hair.
  • Still napping twice a day (10ish and 2ish) with a bedtime of 8. She wakes up anywhere from 7:30 to 8:30am.
Harper girl,
I just can't get over how fast this first year went! It has been so incredible watching you grow. You have stretched our hearts farther than we ever thought possible. We are so thankful that God picked us as your parents. Happy ONE year, sweet girl! We love you to the moon and back.

Wordless Wednesday: Birthday Donut

Friday Phone Dump: Harper's 1st birthday Edition

I don't have time to "dump" the whole week, so I thought I would just stick to Harper's actual Birthday.

When we heard her sweet little voice over the monitor, Brandon and I busted into her room singing "Happy Birthday". Then we dumped a whole trash bag of balloons into her crib. It was awesome. She thought so, too.

Then Daddy and Presley got Donuts and coffee (thank you, Jesus). Presley picked out a very special donut for her sister, but decided that she really wanted it instead. Harper didn't seem to mind.

My mom came in from Houston, and Brandon's parents came over to celebrate Harper's special day. I took advantage of all the extra hands and put them to work for H's cake smash photo shoot. Harper did not enjoy the cake smashing near as much as I thought. This child loves to eat, so I thought she would be in heaven. Oh, well. I still got some really cute pictures.

We opened a few presents (one of them was the wagon that's in the pictures from my previous post), and sang "Happy Birthday" with the remaining smash cake. Yes, I saved it. That was some good cake! Harper's favorite part was blowing out the candles.
This little angel had a fabulous 1st birthday, and it's not over yet. Tomorrow is party day!

She's ONE!

Well, it finally happened.

This past Sunday you, my baby, turned one.

I can not put into words the joy you have brought to our family.

Your sweet, toothy grin lights up our day.

We are spoiled with your generous cuddles and kisses.

Your sway back, round tummy, bowlegged sumo walk will never get old.

From the time I first held you, and every day after that has been a blessing.

We love you to the moon and back, Harper girl.

Happy happy happy 1st birthday!

Wordless Wednesday: Watch Me Grow

in the blink of an eye...
