I really have no idea who could have taken them?

But if you see anyone who looks suspicious, let me know!

9 Months: The Home Stretch

I literally can not believe that I am 9 months today. At times, I have felt this pregnancy could not go any slower. Now, I feel like I blinked my eyes and it's almost over.
Next week, I will be 37 weeks, which means I'll be FULL TERM. For me, that means game on! I have already looked up every possible way to self induce labor. I know, I know...none of those things will work if the little babe isn't ready. Well, I really don't care...I'm ready! Well, almost ready. I still have a few things on my to do list.

1. Get the house decorated for Christmas
2. Finish organizing the nursery
3. Buy a car

Yes, I have written these in order of importance and yes, I love Christmas so much that I would put it before purchasing a car. Other than that, we are good to go.

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I just want to add how thankful I am to have been blessed with such an easy pregnancy (did I just jinx myself?). I hear these last few weeks are the worst, but so far so good. I was so worried about getting all my Christmas shopping done early because I figured I just wouldn't feel like walking around the mall 9 months preggo. WRONG! I can still shop all day long. Sorry, Brandon. I would also like to add that I'm starting to look a tad ridicluous. My stomach is huge and clothes just look weird. I guess thats what happens when your carrying almost 6 lbs. of baby inside you.

Okay, Miss Priss, I hope your stubborn streak has ended. You have finally turned head down. At least thats what the doctor says. I'm still not convinced. I can't even begin to tell you how excited we are to meet you, so please please please don't make me write a post titled "10 months".

Inspired by ME??

So Brandon and I had maternity pics taken a few weeks back, and I'm going to be a little bragadocious (thank you, Dane Cook, for introducing that word into my vocabulary) on our Photographer, kelly. You see, Brandon and I are a little..oh, how do I put this..awkward in front of the camera. I HATE having pictures taken, especially ones where I am by myself. I get sweaty and nervous and just plain weird. I warned Kelly before she began the shoot. Anyway, She totally rocked! She made us feel so comfortable, and we actually had fun! She posted a sneak peek on her blog

Here are a few of my favs:

Inspired By You Photography= Greatness!

I realize I could have used some fresh highlights and a hairbrush, but love them none the less. That was always my Mom's job, though. She would run after us with a hairbrush and get our hair perfectly placed. I digress... Anyway, Kelly and I also discovered that we were both ADPi's at SWT at THE SAME TIME!!! How crazy is that??? Unfortunately, we don't remember each other (I pledged during her last semester) ,but I guess we were destined to meet. I'll let you know when the rest of the proofs are ready for viewing. Thank you, kelly! I can't wait to see what you do with Presley's newborn pictures.

The Nursery is Done!

Well, it's pretty much done. I'm always changing or adding when it comes to decorating. I love how it turned out, and Brandon was even impressed...pink walls and all.

My sister-n-law painted this sweet little rocker for Presley. I think it finished off the nursery perfectly!

This nursery was definitely a group effort. You see, I come up with all these ideas in my head and have no idea how to actually carry them out. Thank goodness I have such wonderful family to help me. Thank you, thank you, thank you to my sweet mother-n-law, father-n-law, parents, and husband for all your help! Now all the nursery needs is a baby...

Eviction Notice

Pregnancy Eviction Notice

Dear Miss Presley Elizabeth Souders,

Pursuant to the provisions of this pregnancy, you are hereby given an eviction notice and notice to vacate, on or before December 23, 2009, the premises and appurtenances owned by Ashlie, Mother of the City of Bellyville, which premises are now occupied by you. The current tenant has 40 days to gather her belongings and vacate the premises or she will be physically removed from the property. She is being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the front of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the house were also made. Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. Due to property damage caused by these unapproved renovations, there are now leaks in both the upper and lower levels of the home. Any further problems will result in immediate and forceful removal.

Sincerely,

Your mother

*I saw this posted on another blog and thought it was too cute....and so true!

Baby Shower: Dallas Edition

My third and final baby shower was this past Saturday. Melissa (my sis), Michelle, and Tiffany hosted the shower! They each in live in a different city in Texas, so we decided it would be at my house. It was soooooo much fun, and they all worked so hard. The best part was getting to spend time with all of them!

My sister was in charge of the cake. Isn't it cute?!? It didn't come out exactly as my sister had planned, but I loved it...and so did everyone else. She also made the diaper cake and it came out so cute. I hated to take it apart, but I did. Sorry, Mel! The little babe needs diapers!
Here are the Hostesses with the mostesses. I love you, girls!
Since this was a Couple's shower, they decided to have a little game for the boys. What better then making them chug (or suck) beer from a baby bottle. My Dad won!! However, Brandon cut the nipple off of his bottle earlier in the day so he would win. Well, the girls found out he was trying to cheat and gave it to my Dad.

Brandon took a picture of my stilettos. He thought I was crazy for walking around in them all night.Who cares about comfort..they were cute!
Here are a few pics that I took during the shower. I didn't do a very good job of getting everyone though.

I love this picture! The boys were fascinated with the belly. Brian's hands are so big, you can't even tell I have one. Maybe I'll ask Kathryn if I can borrow him as camouflage for a few days after the baby is born when I'm still looking 6 months pregnant.
Brian and Kathryn are 17 weeks pregnant with sweet baby #2! We decided to compare baby bumps. Kathryn is so tiny and cute. My belly looks like it could eat her whole!
Presley got so many wonderful gifts!I got a little excited and started washing and putting away some of her presents before getting a picture. Sorry if yours isn't in the photo.
After opening all the presents, it was time to cut the cake. The only thing about this cake is it looks like you are performing a C-section when you cut into it. I was glad I opted for Amaretto cake instead of red velvet.
I had such a great time at this shower. Thank you so much Mel, Tiff, and Michelle! I'm so blessed to have you in my life. Presley is going to have some awesome "Aunts".

Family Photo Gone Wrong

This is a totally random post, but I had to share. My photographer is having a contest, and asked everyone who wanted to enter to email her pictures of a family photo gone wrong. My mind went straight to Thanksgiving 2007. I was crying because I was laughing so hard at our sorry attempt. We REALLY wanted a jumping picture for the Christmas cards, but could never get it timed just right. We tried really hard though! We actually got one of us all off the ground, but Melissa's shirt flew over her head...go figure.

Attempt #1

Attempt #2

Attempt #3

I love my crazy family! ( I also really love that Brandon's hands look like there glued to the inside of his pockets)
