Weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge

As our time as a family of 3 draws to a close, I feel the need to spend as much quality time together as possible. If I'm being completely honest, I have moments where I get really sad that I won't be able to give Presley all of my attention (but I'll save that for another post). So anywhoo, Brandon and I wanted P to have an extra special weekend that was all about her.

The Great Wolf lodge is an awesome hotel that's only 40 minutes away from our house. It has an incredible indoor water park that is heated to 84 degrees year round, pajama story time every night, a kid's spa, an arcade, and it goes on and on...

I didn't get a whole lot of great pics. The hotel was really dark and I didn't want to bring my camera too close to the water, which is where we played almost the entire time.

Every restaurant in the hotel gives you wolf or bear ears. I think Presley left with 5 pairs!

Presley up and at 'em. Daddy not so much...

Several times during the day they would put on a show with animals that would sing and dance. P loved watching them.

Warming up to the wave pool.

Hanging out under the waterfall with daddy.

The hotel had a little booth that was like Build-a-Bear, but with animals that were from the Great Wolf Lodge. The last thing P needed was another stuffed animal, but the experience was fun.

The finished product sans clothes.

After we made her wolf, she got to take a picture with the real thing.

Presley's favorite thing to do was slide down the big slide all by herself. The first day she was too scared, and they don't let the parents go down at the same time. The next day she finally worked up the courage, and it's pretty much what she did the rest of our swim time.

My Mom and Brandon's parents got to come visit while we were there, and that made P's weekend even more special. P had a blast, but I think all the adults were worn out!

Silhouettes

Every once in a while, our local boutique will have a lady come in and do silhouettes by cutting free hand. She is pretty incredible! I had one done of Presley back in October 2010, and again this April. It's amazing to see how much she has grown, plus who doesn't love a silhouette!?!

Friday Phone Dump

After Easter, Presley stayed with my parents for the week and I headed back to Dallas. I have barely done anything in the way of getting ready for baby #2, so this gave me some precious time to really get stuff done. I missed my baby so much, but really needed the extra time. I only have a few pics of my own, but luckily, my Mom sent me plenty documenting their fun week together.

Swimming with Daddy

Sorting and washing all of P's baby clothes, so they will be ready for Miss H. This is what my living room looked like while tackling my first project of the week.

My Mom (Mimi) took Presley to the children's museum and she had a blast!

The next day they met my Dad (Daddy Bob) for lunch.

Then after they finished eating, P stripped down and played at the splash park.

Looks like she played pretty hard...

My Mom was kind enough to drive Presley all the way back to Dallas from Houston. Brandon and I had planned a little staycation for just the 3 of us before baby gets here. We really wanted to give P a special weekend. Brandon couldn't get off work until later so Mimi stayed and played with us for a while.

We are at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine (hence the wolf ears on P), enjoying all of the fun activities. I'm sure I'll have a long post telling all about it when we return.

RESOLVED

Today was a GOOD day!!! We had yet another ultrasound, and found my previa has resolved! Praise the Lord! I know my friends are pretty happy about it, considering I asked them to pray for my Placenta over our spaghetti dinner last night. Now if that isn't appetizing, I don't know what is?!? We also found out that Harper is 5 lbs. and head down. So, it looks like it will be a waiting game for the next 6 weeks. And yes, I have already registered for my bootcamp and spin class. I just hope my booty still fits on the bike...
