Mother's Day 2012

I can't believe this will be my last Mother's day as a Mommy to 1 kiddo! Crazy! I had a wonderful day with my two favorite people, and got lots of time to relax.

I slept in and woke up to gifts from Presley and Brandon. One of the things I got was new pajama pants. Brandon said he was really tired of seeing me walking around in my other ripped up pair, ha! P was a little confused by the flowers and gifts and kept telling me, "Happy Birthday". 

Then he cooked me a breakfast of french toast, bacon, and strawberries. I almost passed out when he said he was making french toast. Brandon does NOT cook, so I was a little scared about the outcome. He told me not to worry because he looked up how to make it online, and could totally handle it. I was still skeptical...

Shame on me for doubting my husband's cooking abilities. His french toast was seriously awesome!

My only request  for the day was a mini photo shoot with my "two" girls. I opted not to do maternity pictures, but would be sad not to have any belly pics with Presley.

I didn't want to torture Presley, so we didn't have any posed pics, and I only had Brandon take about 5. These were the two that came out, but hey, 2 out 5 ain't bad.

Then we did a little shopping (surprise, surprise), took P to the park, made Harper a Build-a-bear (it's actually a pig), had a nice dinner out, and ended the day at the yogurt shop. It was a fabulous Mother's day! The best part was just getting to spend the whole day with Brandon and Presley sans schedules or time constraints.

I would also like to say publicly how amazingly blessed I am to have my Mom and Mother in law. They are the best in the whole world!!! Happy Mother's day, Moms!

Presley is one serious taco eater. Our love for Mexican food has definitely been passed along to her.

  This picture cracks me up. Presley is elated after a successful trip down the big slide, and her poor friend, Hayley, got a mouthful of inflatable bounce house. Can you see her little booty in the air? She was okay, just a little shaken up.

You have probably noticed a drastic decline in Presley's clothes and hairdo's this week. I'm just too tired to mess with it at this point. Once baby gets here it will probably only get worse...

Scootin' Around

Presley has a new toy.

It's a scooter, and she's pretty much in love with it.

One of Presley's little friends had one at their house, and they got into a epic battle over who got ride it. Then she talked about it for the next 2 days. I told Brandon about her new obsession, and the next day he went out during lunch and picked out a strawberry shortcake scooter. He also added a Dora helmet to his purchase. He knows our wild child well.

Brandon has had to work late most nights, so he surprised her with it first thing in the morning.

I was at bootcamp and missed it, but she was still wearing her Dora helmet when I got home.

Now, I'm not trying to be all braggy braggy, but she is pretty darn good on her little scooter. I don't know how she even knew what to do when she got on it?!? I'll leave you with a couple short videos of P scooting' around.

Wordless Wednesday: Spring School Picture

Showered

Little Miss Harper and I were given a rockin' shower/ Girls Night Out. All the Momma's left the kids at home and had a very relaxing evening away. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. Unfortunately, I think I took 2 pictures the whole time. Oh well, I was too busy having fun:).


Delicious cupcakes from the Cupcakery in uptown. My friend, Secily, was kind enough to get a champagne flavored one just for me:). It was raspberry cake with champagne infused icing. YUM!

 This is one of the pictures I  remembered to take while we were waiting on the rest of the girls to join us.

The shower was held at a restaurant in Rockwall called Bin 303. They have delicious food, and I highly recommend going if you're in the area. They also have a strawberry mojito that I got a teeny tiny taste of (thanks, Shelly!). I WILL be getting one the next time I go!

My friend, Timber, took over camera duties during present opening. I think she took 80 something photo's! I've learned from her pictures that I make really strange candid faces...

 My amazing group of friends, and mother in law. So blessed!

And here is everything Miss Harper received! She is one lucky little lady.

9 Months {36 weeks}

How far along? 36 Weeks (I'm late on this post, so I'm now in my 37th week)

Total Weight Gain? My appointments have switched from every 2 weeks to every week, so I have 2 weigh-in's to report. I gained 3 lbs. at one, and then lost a few ounces at the last one I had. Finally, a loss!

Maternity clothes? Still not really wearing anything maternity, but nothing fits. I HATE getting dressed, but refuse to buy anything new with so little time left.

Stretch marks? None yet. 

Sleep: ugh, nighttime sucks! I am constantly peeing and super uncomfortable.

Best moment this month: Lots of progress on the nursery, finding out my previa has resolved, loosing weight, and my baby shower. So that was like 4...it was a good month!

Miss Anything? sleep

Movement: so much, especially at night.

Food cravings: Ice...I have to crunch ice all the time. I have a preference for sonic, but any crushed ice will do.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Gender: She's still a girl!

 Labor Signs: Nothing yet

 Symptoms: Apparently, I have been experiencing heartburn. I've never had it before, but always imagined it would be some sort of burning sensation. I have had this feeling of food or a pill stuck in my throat for a few months now. It never really hurt, but was super annoying. I finally googled the symptom and turns out it's heart burn. Tums have been a lifesaver!

Belly Button in or out? I am officially the proud owner of an outie! I never fully popped out with Presley, but it did this time around. I must say, it feels kind of good to know I have a super clean belly button.

Wedding rings on or off? On:)

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy...when I can keep my eyes open.  

Looking forward to: LABOR....I'm ready to meet this sweet baby girl!
