Easter Weekend 2012

We had a great Easter in Houston with my family! The last time we spent Easter together, I was pregnant (but didn't know it yet) with Presley. Here is a quick recap for ya (and by that I mean a really long post full of pictures).

We did a little cooking.

Friday Phone Dump

Enjoying more awesome weather down at the Harbor. Presley loves to visit the giant fountain.

Hunkering down in the bathroom because of the major outbreak of Tornados. It's amazing how fast the weather can change here. We spent almost 3 hours in the bathroom which was not the most fun with a toddler to entertain. Luckily, I had some blue foam soap that worked for a little while.

When the novelty wore off on the soap, I resorted to Easter candy (peeps). After it was eaten, we read lots of books, and played games on the iPad. Thankfully, we came away with no damage. Rockwall county was hit with the worst tornado that day (there were 13 confirmed in the DFW area), and I had a friend loose her entire house. She was alone with her 2 year old when it hit, and  they had to be pulled from the wreckage. I couldn't even imagine going through that.

We are spending Easter weekend with my family, and taking full advantage of the pool! I can't tell you how amazing it feels to float around while 8 months preggo. I might look like a beached whale, but it feels like Heaven to be weightless.

And what would a trip home be without doing a little shopping!?! Presley particularly enjoyed the shoe shopping.

Funny Bunny

The Easter Bunny was a success this year! I was shocked, but what can I say, this little lady never fails to surprise me. Presley walked right up to him while holding out her bunny shirt and asked," You like my dress"? Everyone got quite a kick out of it.

When we asked her to sit in the bunny's lap, she was a little leery. Brandon sat with her at first and then slowly moved away. Presley didn't even realize it because she was too busy chatting up the Easter bunny. I don't think she ever even noticed he wasn't talking back???

Their printers happened to be broken, so they let me take my own pics. Unfortunately, I only brought my prime lens and couldn't step back enough to get the whole scene, but I still love them...gross fluorescent mall lighting and all!

Look at what a baby she was!!! Speaking of babies, that was her newborn cousin Landon next to her, and he turned one yesterday! Oh my, time really does fly...

8 months {32 weeks}

How far along? 32 Weeks

Total Weight Gain? Up another 5 from last month, so that makes 22 lbs. I gained 26.5 lbs with Presley, but dropped 3 lbs. right before before I had her. Needless to say, I will definitely be putting on more this time around. Blahhh...

Maternity clothes? Still not really wearing anything maternity. I do wear leggings a lot, and those are pretty close to being maternity.

Stretch marks? None yet. I'm scared to just say "no" because then they will magically appear, of course.

Sleep: I've had a few issues with insomnia lately, and I'm starting to get a little more uncomfortable at night. I really miss sleeping on my back!

Best moment this month: Starting the nursery...we have one wall painted. It's a start, right??

Miss Anything? Definitely sad that I'm missing out on all this patio drinking weather. I also still miss being able to work out, and am keeping my fingers crossed I get good news at my ultrasound next week so I can get back into it (even if it's only for 7 weeks or so).

Movement: She's still movin' and a shaken'. 

Food cravings: Still craving anything sweet. 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Gender: She's still a girl!

 Labor Signs: Nope and it better stay that way for a while!

 Symptoms: Experienced sciatica for the first time. It was so bad that my friend/neighbor (who's a physical therapist) had to lay me down on her floor in the middle of her son's 4th birthday party and do a therapy session. I literally couldn't stand for longer than a minute because the pain was so bad. Thankfully, I have been doing the exercises she gave me and it hasn't happened again. And the weirdest symptom ever...I love the smell of home depot. I would bottle it and breathe it in if I could. Is that weird or what???

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy  

Looking forward to: Getting to see Harper again next week. I guess the good thing about being classified as high risk is lots of ultrasound!
